Acupuncture may be an effective intervention for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) by improving nerve conduction velocity in DNP. ST36, SP6, LI11, LI4, and GB34 are the most commonly used acupuncture points for DPN. Manual acupuncture treatments last at least 30 minutes. This scoping review may provide standardized treatment protocols.
