In this randomized clinical trial that included 298 patients with advanced cancer, both acupuncture and massage were associated with pain reduction and improved fatigue, insomnia, and quality of life over 26 weeks.
The findings of this study suggest that both acupuncture and massage may offer pain relief as integrative modalities in patients with advanced cancer.
