Despite of low levels of knowledge or personal exposure to Acupuncture and Acupressure (AA), positive attitudes are reported by Australian doctors and nurses/midwives toward AA. Given the overwhelmingly positive views from nurses toward perioperative AA and associated education, it is argued that tailored AA education is an important postoperative pain management strategy.
